I recently decided to build a boat. I know only a thing or two about boats and much less about boatbuilding. I’m building a boat called Sand Dollar by Arch Davis.

Jim,
I am most impressed. Let’s just say anyone who can follow directions to this level of detail is a) great with following others’ plans, b) has quite an aptitude for working with their hands, and c) knows how to find what they’re looking for. Next time I’m in Ohio I will think of you, and every body of water I drive by will cause me to pause and wonder if you are out, afloat, seeking thy fortune with great temerity.
